CHECK 1

Describe the recurring parking task

Ask where the customer normally parks, what makes the approach difficult and which views or methods they want. A reversing requirement may differ from interest in another advertised aid. The location and clearance review establishes the physical task independently, preventing a broad technology label from answering questions about doors, mirrors or rear loading room.

Separate a frequent essential from an occasional convenience. A premium may be useful for a repeated manoeuvre but matter little to a buyer with another ordinary routine. Record which simpler arrangement the customer would accept rather than treating every additional parking feature as equal value or promising that the most extensive package suits every location.

CHECK 2

Identify the fitted functions accurately

The version equipment discussion needs the actual production context and applicable configuration evidence. Do not copy a familiar package hierarchy across earlier and later offers. Keep visible components and controls beside original records, with the vehicle reference attached, before deciding which functions are genuinely present on the quoted unit.

A menu name or one attractive camera screenshot does not establish every advertised view or assistance method. Ask what was fitted and what was actually observed. A substituted car may need different evidence even where its trim wording matches. The buyer should not inherit favourable media from another candidate simply because both displays appear familiar in a seller's listing.

CHECK 3

Request relevant ordinary operating evidence

Demonstrate the needed views or methods under appropriate instructions and conditions, recording the setup. A useful image can support its observed task while leaving other lighting, surroundings or receiving-user questions unanswered. Avoid universal image-quality promises based on one favourable demonstration or claims that parking technology removes the need for attention and judgement.

The function-access guide keeps account or software dependencies distinct from hardware presence. Do not ask someone to stage hazardous tests or use an unsupported method just to create persuasive media. The practical comparison should establish which ordinary supported aid the buyer can use, with its actual limits, rather than expanding a short clip into proof of every advertised capability.

CHECK 4

Keep physical access outside the technology premium

Retain the customer's confirmed parking constraints alongside the preferred functions. A camera cannot supply missing door-opening space or make a tailgate clear a fixed obstruction. An appealing technology benefit can coexist with an unmet daily location requirement, which should remain visible rather than being priced away without the customer's accepted alternative.

If another parking position is proposed, document whether the buyer accepts that routine and which measurement remains pending. The passenger-access decision matters when door clearance affects a regular user. Do not approve the car's complete practical fit from a successful display observation while the person still cannot enter or leave under the ordinary arrangement.

CHECK 5

Review condition and support before assigning value

Retain relevant damage, replaced components and reported faults with appropriate findings for the actual unit. A working picture does not establish complete assessment of every associated component. Where preparation is required, ask the responsible provider about supported work and completed evidence rather than treating a vague future-fix assurance as functioning equipment at handover.

The offer comparison aligns currency, work and supplied items. Do not invent a universal premium for a particular camera package or assume that more hardware guarantees lower ownership costs. Record the useful supported function and accepted limitations so the customer understands what the extra amount buys within the identified candidate's actual condition and commercial scope.

CHECK 6

One useful view in a confined routine

Suppose a buyer regularly parks near fixed obstacles and values a particular view. Establish that function's actual ordinary response, then review the required physical access and loading movement. If the garage remains unsuitable, the attractive screen should not silently convert an unmet clearance requirement into an approved purchase.

If both offers fit and support the wanted view, compare current findings and other useful differences rather than rewarding the longest package description. The assistance value decision addresses another technology premium separately. A replacement unit needs its own configuration and observed operation before it inherits the original parking assessment.

Questions buyers ask

Can cameras make an unsuitable garage fit?

No. Physical clearance and practical access remain separate requirements.

Does one working view prove every parking aid?

No. Keep fitted presence, relevant operation and receiving use distinct.
