Describe an ordinary operating week
The June 2022 launch material lists a 44.5 kWh battery and a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder range extender. These figures describe the launch specification. They neither establish a used battery’s present capacity nor identify the battery or engine specification of a later offered vehicle.
Ask about normal routes, parking and available charging time. Separate regular use from occasional longer journeys. A private charging arrangement and reliance on public networks create different dependencies. Record those differences before ranking candidates by an advertised range figure.
Any range number should carry its test cycle, production context and whether it describes battery-only or combined operation. Do not compare unlike measures or turn a historical launch figure into a promise about every later L9.
Verify the proposed equipment combination
Obtain the actual charge-inlet details and vehicle configuration. Ask for the intended charger model, access requirements and supporting documentation. Physical fit alone cannot establish electrical and communication compatibility.
A proposed adapter or accessory needs an identified application and a responsible supplier. Suitably qualified providers should assess technical suitability. List the items separately in the quotation so a price line does not imply that every destination charging requirement has already been resolved.
Record what a charging session demonstrates
Ask for a dated record identifying car, charger, initial charge level, conditions and observed result. Preserve warnings or interruptions rather than reporting only that a session started. Include timing and delivered energy when available.
One session establishes a limited observation, not universal network compatibility or maximum speed. It is also distinct from the battery assessment. Keep measurement context available so the receiving dealer can interpret the evidence accurately.
Include the range-extending system in support
Discuss appropriate servicing for the engine-related equipment as well as electric-drive systems. Identify who can handle diagnosis, parts and the relevant maintenance requirements at the destination. Do not assume a general EV provider covers every aspect automatically.
Keep unresolved equipment, access or service questions visible before accepting the offer. The handover file should identify supplied charging items and any separately agreed support. A fuel tank does not remove the benefit of a reliable charging plan.
A practical operating brief
A buyer expects regular city use and periodic long journeys but has not secured overnight charging. Ask about realistic network access and the proposed equipment before discussing a preferred production version. Treat the longer-route plan separately from the daily replenishment arrangement. If destination testing cannot happen before shipment, record what can be verified and what remains uncertain. This keeps the offer grounded in the customer’s operating situation rather than relying on a headline distance alone.
